This is a glorious day, not only for Three Rivers Elementary but for Three Rivers Independent School District and our entire community of Three Rivers, Texas.
Today, September 16, 2022 at approximately 9 am CST, U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona recognized Three Rivers Elementary School as a National Blue Ribbon Schools for 2022. This recognition is based on Three Rivers Elementary School’s progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups.
“I applaud all the honorees for the 2022 National Blue Ribbon Schools Award for creating vibrant, welcoming, and affirming school communities where students can learn, grow, reach their potential, and achieve their dreams,” said U.S. Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona. “As our country continues to recover from the pandemic, we know that our future will only be as strong as the education we provide to all of our children. Blue Ribbon Schools have gone above and beyond to keep students healthy and safe while meeting their academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs. These schools show what is possible to make an enduring, positive difference in students’ lives.”
As an educator, this is the most prestigious academic award a school can receive. Some educators and/or school campuses will go a lifetime and never achieve this iconic recognition. This is a lifelong accomplishment that can never be taken away from Three Rivers Elementary School. It would be injustice for us to recognize individual participants as we all played a valuable role in obtaining this coveted status.
To all involved at Three Rivers Elementary School, raise your head high, walk tall, and have the confidence to know that, WE DID IT!!! Three Rivers Elementary School is a National Blue Ribbon School for 2022!!!
