Dear Family and Community:
As you are aware of, we issued a letter of an incident, Wednesday, that occurred on our campus at the end of last week. In the letter, we examined the best possible ways in which we continue to strive for the well being and safety of our students and staff. The safety of our students and staff will always be at the forefront.
In the letter, I stated that after the Holiday break, we will implement a "No Backpack" policy. Even though we prefer a "No Backpack" policy, with our little ones, this would not be an effect policy for them. We are going to implement a "Clear Backpack Only" policy that would go into effect after the Holiday break. We are encouraging our students in the upper grades to go to a zipper binder system. This would help with organizational skills but understand that it might not be feasible.
